The souvenir guide book refers to a tonne cargo of tea, while the Wikipedia page says that the ship carried tons of tea on the same voyage and Lubbock, in his book, “Log of the Cutty Sark,” quotes a cargo deadweight of tonnes. A history of the famous tea and wool clipper, Culty Sark, the most interesting sailing ship still afloat, considered to have been the fastest of all the clippers. The book is compiled from her log books, her captain's abstracts and information received from those who served aboard her, and from those who served aboard her rivals, or were.

the Cutty Sark has a pronounced ‘rounded’ stern which laughed at my first attempt to bend 1mm x 5mm and 2mm x 3mm strips around it. I finally laid out the shape of the stern on a sheet of paper and used a protractor to draw a series of 5* lines through it from a central point around 20mm inboard from the back of the stern.   I also immersed myself in research and study regarding the Cutty, Log of the Cutty Sark and the supposed "Bible" for anyone attempting this model, Cutty Sark by Mr. Longridge. Accurate Plans were also essential and the source here was the Cutty Sark Society in Grenwich.

The Cutty Sark - Basil Lubbock The Cutty Sark - C.N. Longridge I wish you all the best in your endeavours, happy to assist, as we all are on this site. For you Marc, Thank you for the very kind comment, (Apologies for "Hijacking" your thread to add my two cents worth) Cheers and Regards, Harry.
